Plagiarism Policy
The Editorial Team of Explore: Advanced Informatics Research Journal (AIR) acknowledges that plagiarism is unacceptable and therefore establishes the following policy stating specific actions (sanctions) if plagiarism is identified in an article submitted for publication in Explore: Advanced Informatics Research Journal (AIR).
Definition: Plagiarism is an intentional or unintentional act in obtaining or attempting to obtain an award or value for a scientific work, by citing part or all of the scientific work of another party and/or work that is recognized as scientific work, without citing the source properly and proudly.
For this reason, then: Articles must be original, have never been published before, and are not in the process of awaiting publication elsewhere. Material taken verbally from other sources needs to be clearly identified so that it is different from the original text.
If plagiarism is identified, the Editor-in-Chief is responsible for reviewing the article and will approve the action according to the level of plagiarism detected, with the following guidelines: Level of Plagiarism
1. Plagiarizing several short sentences from another article without citing the source. Action: The author is given a warning and a request to change the text and citations accordingly.
2. Plagiarizing most of another article without properly citing the source. Action: The submitted article is rejected for publication in Explore: Nusantara Journal Of Informatics and the author may be subject to sanctions because it is not allowed to be published in Explore: Nusantara Journal Of Informatics. All article authors are responsible for the content of the submitted article because all of them sign the Explore: Nusantara Journal Of Informatics Originality Statement. If the article is classified as plagiarism, then all authors will be subject to the same action.
If the author is proven to have submitted a manuscript to Explore: Nusantara Journal Of Informatics by sending it simultaneously to another journal, and this overlap is found during the reviewer process or after publication, then the action is given according to point 2 above.
If plagiarism is found outside the rules above, the editors of Explore: Nusantara Journal Of Informatics have the right to impose sanctions according to the editorial policy.
